Prohibited & Restricted Items

Wasil is committed to safe and lawful shipping. All packages shipped through our platform must comply with the regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the destination country. The following guidelines outline what items are strictly prohibited, what items have quantity or weight restrictions, and the overall package limits that apply to all shipments.
1. Strictly Prohibited Items
The following items may never be shipped through Wasil under any circumstances. Packages found to contain these items will be confiscated and the sender's account may be permanently suspended.
- Weapons & Ammunition: Firearms, knives (bladed weapons), explosives, ammunition, tasers, pepper spray, and any other weapons or weapon components.
- Illegal Drugs & Narcotics: Any controlled substances, recreational drugs, drug paraphernalia, or prescription medications without valid documentation.
- Counterfeit Goods: Fake branded products, pirated media, forged documents, or any items that infringe on intellectual property rights.
- Hazardous Materials: Flammable liquids, compressed gases, corrosive substances, radioactive materials, toxic chemicals, and any items classified as dangerous goods under IATA regulations.
- Tobacco & Alcohol: Cigarettes, vaping products, e-liquids, alcoholic beverages, and related products.
- Live Animals & Plants: Live animals, insects, seeds, soil, and unprocessed plant materials.
- Currency & Financial Instruments: Cash, coins, money orders, bearer bonds, and other negotiable instruments.
- Items Prohibited by Law: Any items prohibited by the export laws of Saudi Arabia or the import laws of the destination country.
2. Restricted Items (Allowed with Limits)
The following items may be shipped through Wasil subject to the quantity and packaging restrictions listed below. Failure to comply may result in the item being held, returned, or the shipment being delayed.
2.1 Liquids
All liquid items must be in sealed, leak-proof containers. Individual containers must not exceed 100 ml each. Total liquid volume per package must not exceed 500 ml.
2.2 Zamzam Water
Zamzam water is permitted up to a maximum of 5 liters per package. It must be in factory-sealed containers. Zamzam water exceeding this limit will be removed from the shipment.
2.3 Electronics with Batteries
Electronic devices containing lithium-ion or lithium-polymer batteries (laptops, tablets, power banks, etc.) must be declared at the time of shipping. Devices must be powered off (not in sleep mode). Spare/loose lithium batteries are not permitted. Power banks must be under 100Wh capacity.
2.4 Perfumes & Fragrances
Perfumes and fragrances are permitted up to a maximum of 500 ml total per package. Each bottle must be in its original sealed packaging. Alcohol-based perfumes are subject to the destination country's import rules.
2.5 Perishable Food Items
Non-perishable food items (dates, coffee, sweets, spices, honey) are generally allowed. Perishable food items (items requiring refrigeration) are not permitted. All food items must be commercially packaged and within their expiry date.
2.6 Supplements & Vitamins
Over-the-counter vitamins and supplements are allowed in their original, sealed packaging. Items must be legal in both Saudi Arabia and the destination country.
3. Package Limits
All packages shipped through Wasil are subject to the following limits:

Packages that exceed these limits may be refused, held at the warehouse, or require special arrangements. If your package exceeds either limit, please contact our support team before shipping.
4. Inspection Policy
Wasil reserves the right to open and inspect any package received at our warehouse facilities. This is done to ensure compliance with these guidelines and applicable laws. Packages found to contain prohibited items will be handled as follows:
- The prohibited item(s) will be removed and safely disposed of.
- The sender will be notified and no refund will be issued for prohibited items.
- In cases of serious violations (weapons, drugs, counterfeit goods), the account may be permanently suspended and authorities may be notified.
- Items that exceed restricted quantity limits will be removed and held at the warehouse. The sender may arrange for their return at their own cost.
5. Customs & Import Regulations
It is the sender's responsibility to ensure that items comply with the import regulations of the destination country. Wasil is not responsible for items seized, held, or taxed by customs authorities. Common items that may trigger customs issues include:
- Food items in large quantities
- Supplements and health products
- Electronics above certain value thresholds
- Religious items (regulations vary by country)
